Polypropylene is widely used for a variety of applications due to its versatility and relatively low cost. Variations in its processing behavior are usually investigated in thorough compositional analysis, which is time consuming and doesn’t always yield an explanation. This paper uses a single-run differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) experiment and analysis using the Avrami equation to obtain a cursory-but-useful comparison of crystallization characteristics of different colored polypropylene caps.
